Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actress for over 20 years. Her most well-known character is Skyler White on her role on the AMC drama Breaking Bad, for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and 2014 in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series. The actress has also appeared as Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. Her passion for performing in Preparatory School prior to moving to Ohio with her family in mid-70s. She studied theatre in the theatre department at Northwestern University and spent a year at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her journey in Chicago performing in stage role for several years. Later, she relocated to Hollywood, where she began her acting career in TV shows and films. Anna had her biggest break in the year 1992, when she portrayed Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. In addition, she was on Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue. Then it was not until the end of the 1990s that she took on a role in The Practice. In 2000, she was placed in Deadwood in the role of Martha Bullock for two full seasons. She was cast as Skyler in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. Sully as well as Deadwood are also a an integral part of her professional acting career. Gunn played a role in the David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. She was also a part of the podcast audio drama of four episodes The Numbered Days series, which launched in 2022. The romance with Walter White and his wife Skyler is usually the main focus of the narrative in Breaking Bad with the strained tension in their relationship, and its eventual demise arguably echoing the same storyline of Walter White's final days of his life.
