Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is an British and American sitar player. She also performs music. She was the first person in her age group to receive the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka Shakar is a promising young rising superstar on the Indian Sitar, is Anoushka. She's the child of Ravi Shankar and a former student. Born in London and grew up in New Delhi, she spent the first few years of her life bouncing between London and New Delhi. Her debut concert was at New Delhi at the tender 13 years old. When she moved to Encinitas California in 1999, she was awarded a high-school certificate. Although she is still very young Anouskha is an accomplished performer and recording career. She regularly accompanies her father during performances, something she has been doing for several years. She released her debut album in 1998. debuted Anourag as her debut solo record. It was nominated for a Grammy Award. Carnegie Hall album was released in 2002. She's performed in all major venues around the globe. Anoushka Shankar's work isn't restricted to just music. In 2002, she wrote a book entitled Bapi The Love of My Live this is a picture-based biography, which pays special respect to her dad Ravi Shankar. Also, she appeared in movie in 2003. Her role was a Bharat natyam dancer in Dance Like a Man. Anoushka Shakar's career as a professional will only continue to grow and grow. At the age of 9 she began her studies in music alongside her father. Her debut performance on the sitar came in her 75th birthday celebration in Delhi, four years after. Anoushka has gained lots of knowledge by traveling around the globe along with her dad. She played in Carnegie Hall in her teenage time, and also recorded at George Harrison's WOMAD Festival. Her artistry and musicianship was acknowledged by the British parliament as the best at Asian Arts.
